1.During a 2015 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Rob Huebel shared the story of being slapped in the face by his childhood hero, Chevy Chase.

On Instagram Live, Nicki expressed frustration over the Grammys' decision to move her song "Super Freaky Girl" from the rap category to the pop category. Referencing Latto's song, she said, "If 'Super Freaky Girl' is a pop song, what genre is 'Big Energy?'...They stay moving the goal post when it comes to me."

She mentioned other artists, but she kept referencing Latto. Seemingly alluding to Latto, Nicki said, "If you know something is unfair as an artist, speak on that sh*t. If you can't tell by now that there is a concerted effort to give newer artists things they really don't deserve over people who have been deserving for many years, they you not paying attention."

Afterwards, Nicki continued to make digs about Latto and "Big Energy" on Twitter, even reportedly posting that Latto was "wiping that spray tan off & being a Karen."

Latto tweeted, "Damn I can't win for losing… all these awards/noms I can't even celebrate."

For hours, Nicki and Latto argued back and forth.

Latto tweeted, "I've ignored countless subtweets since March and instead addressed u in the dm. You're asking why I didn't speak up in ur defense… it's the same answer I gave u when u asked why I didn't congratulate you. Ur literally older than my mom tryna be a bully @NICKIMINAJ."

Nicki reportedly quote tweeted the post, adding, "All this time I thought you was at least 35."

At one point, Nicki reportedly posted a screenshot of a text from Latto, so Latto leaked a phone call with Nicki.

Eventually, Nicki deleted all her tweets. The only one she left up was a clip of Whitney Houston laughing.

In 2023, Latto told Billboard, "It's difficult navigating through situations like that because there's a disconnect. I will look at myself as a fan of someone, and they will view [me] in a whole different light."

She continued, "I write ALL of my own songs. Your hot take is completely false and SO damaging. You don't have to like my songs but it's really f*cked up to try and discredit my writing. WOW."

In a follow-up tweet, she added, "PS I wrote this tweet all by myself in case you were wondering."

Damon replied, "I totally agree with you. i had a conversation about songwriting and sadly it was reduced to clickbait. I apologise unreservedly and unconditionally. The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting. I hope you understand."

5.After Olivia Rodrigo released "Drivers License" in 2021, she often cited Taylor Swift as one of her biggest influences, and the two publicly supported each other. However, a few months after Olivia released Sour, she retroactively credited Taylor (along with her co-writers Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent) on "Deja Vu" for interpolating "Cruel Summer." Later that year, Olivia told Teen Vogue, "I think it’s disappointing to see people take things out of context and discredit any young woman’s work."

She continued, "But at the end of the day I'm just really proud and happy to say that my job is being a songwriter … All music is inspired by each other. Obviously, I write all of my lyrics from my heart and my life first. I came up with the lyrics and the melody for 'good 4 u' [which retroactively credited Hayley Williams and Josh Farro from Paramore for interpolating "Misery Business"] one morning in the shower."

She also said, "What's so beautiful about music is that it can be so inspired by music that’s come out in the past. Every single artist is inspired by artists who have come before them. It's sort of a fun, beautiful sharing process. Nothing in music is ever new. There's four chords in every song. That's the fun part — trying to make that your own.”

Then, in 2023, Olivia told Rolling Stone, "I was a little caught off guard. At the time it was very confusing, and I was green and bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Is that the phrase?”

JoJo's mom replied, "burn your own things."

Justin later apologized, tweeting, "@itsjojosiwa I have nothing against you it was the car and the colors I didn't like I really hope you didn’t think it was malicious or mean spirited."

JoJo used the interaction as an opportunity to ask Justin to play at her Sweet Sixteen. On Twitter, she said, "it's all good bro! you can perform at my 16th birthday party and we’ll call it good!" In 2019, she doubled down on her request on The Tonight Show.

10.In 2023, Stephen Mangan told the Telegraph about his "worst celebrity encounter." He said, "One of my acting heroes is Robert De Niro, and I once found myself in the same room as him at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. I am not the kind of person who runs up to everyone I admire. I’m actually a little bit shy. But I thought, 'I cannot miss this opportunity to go and just say hello to him.' So, I made a start towards him, then I thought, 'No, I can’t do it,' and stopped. Then I went to go and stopped again, then eventually I just strode straight up to him, and said, 'Hello, I'm Robert De Niro.' There was a pause, and then he said, with no hint of anything other than irritation, 'No, I’m Robert De Niro.'"

11.And finally, in 2010, Hailee Steinfeld told J-14, "When I was auditioning for True Grit, I was on the Paramount lot. I was wearing clothes from the 1800s that were big and uncomfortable. Glee also films on the lot and I love the show, but I haven't really followed it. I saw Lea Michele just walking to her trailer, and I was like, 'That's the girl from Glee. I've got to go ask for her autograph!' So I walked up to her and asked for her autograph, but she walked by, and a guy came and said, 'Sorry, now's not a good time!'"
