División territorial

El nombre oficial de nuestro país es Estados Unidos Mexicanos, aunque también se conoce como República Mexicana o México, está integrado por 32 entidades federativas. La Ciudad de México es la capital y sede de los tres poderes de gobierno (Ejecutivo, Legislativo y Judicial).

La entidad federativa con mayor número de municipios es Oaxaca con 570; por el contrario, la que tiene menor cantidad es: Baja California Sur, con cinco.

Cada entidad federativa se constituye por municipios, de los cuales en todo el país hay 2,475. La Ciudad de México se integra por 16 demarcaciones territoriales.
